Hello! My name is Carmen, and I am a Registered Psychologist specializing in supporting families through psychoeducational assessments (children and adults) and counselling services (children). I have experience working both with school boards and in private practice.
I provide psychoeducational assessments looking at ADHD, Learning Disorders, Autism, giftedness, and mental health (e.g., anxiety and depression). I take a strength-based approach to my assessments, focusing on individuals’ interests and skills to maximize their success.
I utilize a variety of approaches to support children through therapy including Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. I specialize in working with children with diverse needs including ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, and Depression. I take a neurodiversity affirming approach to my work to foster acceptance without pathologizing brain differences.
